I am proud to learn that the Government of India has issued a postage stamp in honor of Bimal Roy. The west Bengal Govt should organize a Bimal Roy festival. Young viewers must get a chance to watch his films. What a pity that Kolkata, the ‘culture nagari” does not pay proper homage to a Bimal Roy, a Salil Chowdhuri and other stalwarts. I wish the Government would listen to me – but will they?
